Youth Ministry
Youth outreach and ministry has grown steadily to where we now have opportunity to serve in excess of 10,000 youth annually. Catholic schools in Ontario have, as part of their curriculum, a retreat program for every age group. Mount Alverno is one of the retreat centre sites serving the greater Toronto and Southern Ontario School Board Regions.
We have a youth ministry team on staff, who offer educational Christian retreats involving themes such as:
- Confirmation
- Community Building
- Leadership Training
- Social Justice
- Media Literacy
- Human Sexuality, and
- Vocational Discernmen
Our facilitation style is very interactive, with questions and theme exploration encouraged.
We do not take this opportunity lightly and we have witnessed young people of all ages come alive in their faith through their Mount Alverno experience.
